re:real は、頭に浮かんだ像（イメージ）を起点に、「本質」や「リアル」のありかを検討する展示である。
現代では、物理的な装飾だけでなく情報や概念も装飾として流通し、本物／偽物の境界は不安定になっている。本展は、装飾がどのように実在感を獲得し、「そこに在る」と認識されるのかに焦点を当てる。

本作は、「装飾がリアルに見える」過程を通して、文化的な価値や意味がどのように身体性と結びつき、変容するのかを探る試みである。装飾が単なる表層を越え、身体に刻まれ、触れられるものとして提示されるとき、それは文化的な重みを帯びた“本物”として認識され始める。

展示は、装飾と身体性の緊張を異なるかたちで扱う複数の立体によって構成される。
いずれも、意味の解説よりも物質としての自律性を優先し、質感・密度・重さ・空間との関係といった身体的知覚に働きかけることを目的とする。頭の中の像を物質へ定着させる過程で生じる摩擦やズレはノイズではなく、実在を確かにする条件として扱われる。

鑑賞者には、装飾がどの時点で「飾り」を越えてリアルとして受け取られるのか、その閾値を各自の身体感覚で確認してほしい。本展は、価値判断の提示ではなく、装飾が「本物」へと反転していく条件を提示するものである。

re:real begins from images that surface in the mind and examines where “essence” and “the real” might be situated.
Today, not only physical ornament but also information and concepts circulate as ornament, making the boundary between genuine and fake unstable. This exhibition focuses on how ornament acquires a sense of actuality and comes to be recognized as being “there.”

This work explores how cultural value and meaning connect with, and transform through, bodily experience via the process by which ornament comes to appear real. When ornament moves beyond surface and is inscribed in the body, presented as something tangible, it begins to be recognized as an “authentic” entity with cultural weight.

The exhibition consists of multiple three-dimensional works that address, in different ways, the tension between ornament and embodiment. Each privileges material autonomy over explanation and aims to act directly on bodily perception—texture, density, weight, and spatial relation. The friction and misalignment that arise when fixing mental images into matter are treated not as noise, but as conditions that secure actuality.

Viewers are invited to verify, through their own bodily sense, the threshold at which ornament is received as the real, beyond “decoration.” Rather than offering value judgments, the exhibition presents the conditions under which ornament flips into the “authentic.”

본 전시의 작업은, 장식이 리얼하게 보이게 되는 과정을 통해 문화적 가치와 의미가 신체성과 어떻게 결합하고 변형되는지를 탐구한다. 장식이 단순한 표면을 넘어 신체에 각인되고 만져지는 것으로 제시될 때, 그것은 문화적 무게를 지닌 ‘진짜’로 인식되기 시작한다.

전시는 장식과 신체성의 긴장을 서로 다른 방식으로 다루는 여러 입체 작업으로 구성된다. 각 작업은 설명보다 물질로서의 자율성을 우선하며, 질감·밀도·무게·공간과의 관계 등 신체적 지각에 직접 작용하는 것을 목표로 한다. 머릿속의 이미지를 물질로 고정하는 과정에서 발생하는 마찰과 어긋남은 노이즈가 아니라 실재를 확증하는 조건으로 다뤄진다.

관람자는 장식이 ‘장식’을 넘어 ‘리얼’로 수용되는 역치가 어디에 있는지 자신의 신체 감각을 통해 확인해 보길 바란다. 본 전시는 가치 판단을 제시하기보다, 장식이 ‘진짜’로 전환되는 조건을 제시한다.
